Name: Kalia Aiden
Age: 18
Gender:Female
Alliance:None
Job:Trainer
Description: Kalia is tall, standing at 5'11''. She has mid-brown hair with golden highlights in the sun, usually keeping it tied back in a ponytail, though the shorter hair of her bangs tends to escape easily, leaving it looking messy most days. Her eyes are blue, fading to an almost ice blue in the centers, although her personality keeps them warm looking. Her skin tone is lightly tanned, as she's often out and about in the sun, watching wild pokemon from the relative safety of the paths. Normal wear consists of a t-shirt or tank top, and cargo pants of some kind, usually in dark colors. Her trainer's outfit consists of Dark brown cargo pants, a black tee and a brown vest. A thick trainer's belt runs from her right hip to rest lower on her left thigh, where it buckles. The belt has clips for any pokeballs she may be carrying with her at the time. She has a backpack with a single strap, that runs from her left shoulder to her right side.
She keeps spare clothing for when she's got a spare moment to have a more mundane adventure in towns. Loose blue jeans with a grey hoodie over various tees, usually in mid-shades, blues, greens, browns and greys, occassionally sporting a design on it, though usually if there is one, it's minimal. Her hoodie has a pokeball printed on the side, just about the bottom of it. The hoodie itself is well worn, as she bought it oversized when she was younger and gradually grew into it. It's one of her favorite pieces of clothing, and she'll occassionally wear it under her vest with her normal trainer gear.
Personality: Kalia is almost bubbly in her personality, but a healthy dose of realism keeps her from being too exciteable all the time. She's usually happy, all too glad to be alive in a world where her new friend might be the pokemon that just ran through her yard. Her mother refused to allow her to be a trainer when she reached ten, but the first thing she did upon reaching adult status of 18 was take the test for her trainer's license. She loves to watch the wild pokemon, often times sitting just barely on the safer paths with a bag of food, tossing it to whatever wild pokemon would venture close enough to be in range.
This tendency to pokewatch has goten her in trouble a few times, when a wild pokemon would decide that path or not, it wanted all of the food. Usually it ended with her scratched and bruised and another reason in her mother's litany of "Why training is bad." The litany is part of the reason she's a realist--she's heard many of the bad things in her mother's personal vendetta against all things training. That, and repeated rattata attacks.
She tends to be easily distracted, going off on tangents as her train of thought runs its course. This leads into a tendancy to ramble when she's nervous. She's outgoing, and easily cheered up, though she does have her dark moments once in a while. Even so, she prefers the company of the wild and pokemon more than humans most days, preferring the simpler interactions of nature.
She likes to read, and usually carries a book or two with her, usually something for research, to help her understand pokemon just that little bit more.

History: Kalia was born in Kanto, and lived there for the majority of her life. Her father died when she was young, just before her sixth birthday, although she has no idea what happened. Her mother became more adamant on keeping her from training shortly thereafter, so she has a guess. A few months after her twelfth birthday, her mother moved them to Johto. The change in the wild pokemon, although not a huge jump, was enough to pique her interest in researching more of them. Her interest in training grew as she got older, and spent more time watching pokemon as her mother grew even more obstinate in her attempts to stop her.
She took to traveling even farther once she hit 16, sometimes spending a night or two camping out just outside the boundaries of towns, ranging as far as she could walk in order to see more. Intensely curious, she watched pokemon and their actions as her resolve to become a trainer grew. With her mother so reluctant to allow it, she took odd jobs to save up cash, buying up decent gear as she went, squirreling it away where her mother wouldn't find it. By the time she turned 18, she had a fair stack of money built up. She used a portion to get her trainer's license, and kept the rest hidden away in her backpack.
She discussed the plans with her mother, wanting her approval before she would leave, showing her everything she'd put together. Her mother was angry for quite a while, but one day left the house, leaving a note she'd be back in a few days. Kalia wrote it off as her mother just being more angry, but upon her return, her mother gave her a ticket for the trip to a new region, as well as a list of contact numbers, and a whole pile of new clothes,
including the vest she now wears as part of her training gear. Startled at the change of heart, she thanked her mother and asked why, recieving no reply. Her mother grew more quiet and withdrawn as her leaving approached, and when the day arrived, mother and daughter bid each other farewell, and Kalia was off.
