Name: Tamarin "Tauros" Swift
Age: 28. I like RPing older characters as well as young. After all the world is filled with diverse ages. Plus a good story isn't a great story without an old geezer in it. Pokemon wouldn't be Pokemon without Professor Oak's age-rattled brain now would it? Are you a boy or a girl? Or maybe he's just blind from age instead of confused but now I'm ranting so I'll stop.
Gender: Male
Alliance:None.
Job:Ranger.
Description: Even getting close to his thirties, Tamarin Swift still has an air of youthfulness about him. Face still fresh with only a few laugh lines gracing the corners of his lips and eyes, he could easily lie about being in his early twenties. Bright blue eyes are always sparkling with mirth except on the dark occasions were they dull to a dead blue. His shoulder-blade length hair still bleach white blonde by the sun he constantly works under. Usually the long locks are thrown back in a messy, loose ponytail. When he forgets to shave, or is just too lazy to, the stubble on his chin is just slightly darker than the shade of the hair on his head.
The proudest feature of Tamarin's is his body. Unlike most of his friends around the same age, he has managed to keep in shape. At six-feet, four-inches and two-hundred and twenty pounds , the blonde towers over most people he knows. Due to his appearance and personality he earned the name Tauros by his family and friends. And just like a wild Tauros he has is share of scars. The most prominent one is a jagged line trailing up front his right hip to his underarm. Ironically he obtained the scar by trying to round up one of his family's loose Tauros. Other than that he has pale and dark nicks, dips, and lines littering his tan skin.
When it comes to clothes Tamarin's not picky. His usual attire consists on word work boots, ripped jeans, and a white undershirt. However trying to look more presentable in his new job he has switched to non-ripped jeans and a button up plaid shirts in primary colors. The one thing that seems to be on him at all times is a black Stetson cowboy hat with a silver band.
Personality: As a child Tamarin was rowdy and never sat down. Which, naturally, gave his poor mother a headache and some grief. Now that he's older the nervous tick to always be moving has slightly faded. Though he still is in a constant motion whether it be twiddling his thumbs, motioning with his hands while talking, or his tossing in his sleep.
Growing up with a close knit family he gained an unwavering sense of loyalty and a gentle demeanor. His loyalty is hard to break. He's generally understanding with people and always there to lend a hand or a shoulder to cry on. He takes his place to be a role model for young children seriously by always trying to take the right path and sway from temptation.
On the other hand he's much like his nickname Tauros. He has a short-fuse that often causes him to blow up at the littlest things. Once angry he'll go on his own mini stampede which usually takes someone close to him to calm him down. With a thick-skull and stubborn attitude it's hard to convince him he's wrong or to get things through to him. Once he swore he could eat 150 BBQ wings and even though his sister warned him he couldn't even eat fifty and he'd only get sick he still did it. Angry that his younger sister thought he couldn't, he devoured them all and ended up sick in bed for two days.
Picture: None now. Perhaps when I get my commissions out of the way.
History: Tamarin was born to a modest farmer and his plain wife in Kanto between Pewter and Cerulean City. Most of his young childhood from ages three to seven were learning about how to run the farm and taking care of his two younger sisters, Tanya and Tira. He would play with the farm animals and do his chores with pride. While taking care of Pokemon on the farm and the wild ones that him and his siblings seem to tote home, he started falling in love with the idea of working with all kinds of Pokemon. Even convincing his parents he should become a trainer at ten.
Sadly at nine his mother past away, leaving him to take care of the house and his three year-old sisters while his father worked hard with the farm and their small organic shop in Pewter City. As his sisters became older they eventually help out with the house while Tamarin moved to help with the farm. Over the years the hard work earned him dozens of scars, muscle, and a sense of accomplishment. Yet, his heart still ached knowing his dream to become a trainer had went out with his mother's own light.
The light eventually rekindled when his sister's turned fifteen. The had come up with a plan to help their brother. While going through a newspaper , Tanya hand found a Pokemon Park hiring in Johto. The two agreed that one could keep the house up while the other helped with the farm. So, in a happy turn of events Tamarin got the job and moved to Johto with a teary goodbye to his family and promised to call, write, and send money.
However after five years of working at the park he begin to get restless. The days were the same with only a small bit of excitement here and there. Plus, working with other peoples' Pokemon was one thing but he still wanted his own to train and teach. One afternoon he was lounging in the break room and happened to overhear his coworkers talking about rangers being needed. He was only half paying attention till he heard how rangers got their own Pokemon partners. Springing from the chair, he had gather all information from the poor frazzled woman. Once he had all the information jotted down he had rushed off to apply.
And so for a second time in his life, Tamarin swift was moving to a new place.
